I'm asking because i wanted to know if it's possible ( I should think it is.) what it would take, ( meaning if i would need to download a program or something, or maybe Pc version of Skyrim) and if there's a legal way. I saw a video someone posted on Youtube that mentioned doing this without (Jailbreaking) whatever that is? I assume it's illegal, Anyway i guess i may continue searching and hope. The PS3 is so diffrent (and harder apparently) to program for than the PC thats why all the skyrim DLC took so long and the frame rate was so bad, there are no mod's for PS3.

Well.. the 360 is basically a PC inside so there are kind of mods BUT you can be banned from X-Box Live as its pretty much hacking. Search youtube for 'xbox skyrim mods' if you want to know more but unless you have spare 360 not connected to the internet just for modded Skyrim i wouldn't recommend it.

Ok so if i were to try putting my save file of choice on a usb would i need to have the Pc version of Skyrim to imput them on the save file, or could i just put it on the Usb, download the mod, and then put it back on the Ps3? By the way about my earlier post i am merely trying to mod the data not the system, don't know if that matters but thought i'd point that out. It basically says Sony doesn't want to discourage modding..even though they patch there systems now and again to preent it? If you're dead set to mod (you shouldn't as it usally glitchs the game real bad) most people use modio. I know this because my cousin uses modio and, sadly, I have as well. Microsoft doesnt crack down on modding games like Skyrim and Fallot unless you're stupid enough to post videos about it useing your online gamertag. I would still advise against mods on the console versions of the games.

Well I want to get the Necromancer's Amulet(Didn't sell it to Calixto), The Gloves of Pugilist(Thought they were just common loot), and maybe Vampire lord with Beast form(Already a werewolf, and I belive the Vampire Lord, to Companions quest line glitch is patched). even though skyrim is a single person offline game, you are required from time to time to get updates via online. your service agreement which you signed when loading your PS3 clearly states that you may NOT use any mods to upgrade or enhance your PS3 any way shape or form. Violating this agreement will result in the permanent deletion of your IP adresss and further disallow you from playing any other game through the Playstation Network.

mod upgrading from an outside source via youtube, twitter, facebook or a direct MPU purchase to be installed on the PS3 mother-board is a direct Violation of the service agreement. because these methods are not restricted to skyrim alone, altering a game save( though unsure how you would do this) doesn't seem to be a violation of agreement since it is an alteration to a specific game save and not the system that houses the save point.

I did ask earlier if I could just load my selected save file onto a USB, plug it into the computer and add the mod to it from there but nobody seems to have answered. To Prometheus1960. So according to you no matter what I'm screwed..I find that hard to believe. I think there must be some way to do it. Everyone thought you couldn't become a Vampire lord werewolf hybrid but you can even on Ps3. That aside even if I must contact Bethesda how would I and what're the odds they'd even read my message? To me not very high I once sent a message to Lego about wanting to help come up with new toy designs and concepts but guess what? NEVER ANSWERED! So I can only assume it never made it or they didn't care to read it. And to Wikia contributor 68.98.92.195 I can't download from PC Skyrim because my computer doesn't have a graphics card and probably is below minimum requirments besides. What i said was putting a Ps3 save on a USB and putting the mod on the same Usb in hopes it's work OR just downloading the mod onto the Usb and then plugging that to my Ps3 in hopes it'd work. Hey I believe I have a way. I was messing around on COD World at War, and I ran into three modders in a row (all on my friends list now). Two of them were jailbreaked, but one used the Xploder cheats system. Available for around $14.99, it's like game shark/Action Replay for PS3 and Xbox 360. I'll post a link.http://www.xploder.net/

Sorry if this would be double posting but I just got an idea. Wouldn't it be great if somone made a spellcrafting mod for Skyrim? Think of it you could actually make Vampiric drain good, make an ice or shock spell with area damage like fireball, and make calm, fury, and similar spells able to work on toughter foes without using the perks that do about the same. Really there's a mod out that does that for Skyrim? if so I'd think it'd be on MMOxReview's channel as he highlights mods, or on Gamespots channel also on Youtube. Either or if a mod like that for Skyrim exists it's either new/not well known or it's bad cause if it did exist it'd sread the mod community like fire on oil. That aside Redexx, I was wondering if you could try, when you get your Xploder to see if mods like Flying ring, Equipment of eternal shine, or and adoptable khajit girl mods would be useable. Just to know if it would work it should as I believe they'd fit within it's peramiters (think I spelled that wrong). But anyway I just thought I'd suggest somethings I thought might be neat to see if Xploder would allow them to work. Oh and maybe a marryable Khajit too have to search fo it though, the links to the others can be found on the respective Youtube channels mentioned above, thank you. Epzo I'm not sure who that is, but multiple people who deal with mods may each cover the exact same mod. I just found the mentioned mods on those perticuler channels first. That aside I'm simply waiting for Redexx to get the Xploder device and hopefully post the blog, if however something happens I'll order one and post my experience about it and also how it works. Except for Shivering Isle Madness and Amber armor and weapons, one person made that and wanted to port the meshes, but then here can Bethesda with ban hammer. However it's still possible if somone where to make them from scratch, it wouldn't be too hard since some of Skyrim's armors look similar to them like Elven/Ebony armor to Amber armor, and steel armor is somewhat similar to Madness. By the way Redexx here's a mod to try on your Xploder if you've got it yet, Kagrenac's instant fortress search it on Youtube you'll fall in love with it! Actually you can put Power of the Gods on about any weapon, and there WAS a Sauron mod but i think it was taken down due to copyright, but try searching maybe someone reposted it under a new name, I hope so since it makes you look like the ultimate badass dark lord. Thank you for looking into the matter for me Redexx much obliged. But..what is this MERP you speak of? I'm sorry if I sound noobish but I've never heard of it nor have any online friends (save you guys) to tell me about stuff. So an explaination would be nice on that subject. Also how DO I transfer pounds to dollars? Also I recently saw a flyable airship mod on youtube highlighted by Gophervids and agree with a commentor that the author should try to combine it with the Asteria. I know there'd be an issue about non-moving objects but the door to enter the home could be replaced with a teleport spell that also affected any followers so you and your merry crew could enter and leave whenever and still sail the skies pillaging towns and such, maybe replace the cannons with friendly Dwemer ballistas that stay within the boundries of the ship railing, what do you think? Middle-Earth Roleplaying Project. Originally started in oblivion, it was transferred to skyrim upon its release. They are currently in a legal battle with Warner Brothers, but they're still going strong. Ok I'll try that thanks, There's been something bugging me though about Skyrim that both Morrowind and Oblivion had problems in, Crime system. What do I mean? I mean you go outside Volkihar castle, see Dawnguard lackies, transform to VL, and SOMEHOW you get a bounty of 1000 in WHITERUN WTF? Oblivion had Reneer's guard overhaul and there seems to be a mod for Skyrim called Crime and Punishment however it's been set to hidden for some reason, and this is a HUGE downer as the crime system really does need a big uplift since it's practically Oblivion's but each hold tracks crime different. And yeah I know you kill evey witness and supposedly crim goes away, I personally don't think it works I've yet to test it but still this is Bethesda we're talking about so it may not work. There might be an issue. As I'm still trying to set up the xploder on my 7 year old laptop, I've been reading. It might simply take other users saves and add them to your own. Not sure if mods ae possible this way.

Well what i gathered about mods and the Xploder mods are a basically and altered or edited save file and the Xploder is supposed to make it so the system/game can't tell if it's altered/fan made or naturally in the game I can go look on the Xploder page but I'm pretty sure that's what it does. @ Mrfosteres. I suggested something like that earlier on I think. Maybe it would work maybe not. I suppose I could try that but I'm waiting for Redexx's blog about the Xploder I looked at the details of the Xploder and it seems to be selling itself as a sort of Action repaly like device that works on your computer, I've also Googled if it can allow use of mods and supposedly you must resign gamesaves to do it. If you Google Ps3 modding with Xploder the guy I'm talking about is the third link down has a screensaves with fireworks, I don't really understand it but maybe one of you here will so check it out and if you have anything that might be helpful post it here please so we all can figure this out. Oh sorry to here that Redexx. I think you said it was 7 years old? Maybe you need to get a newer model/computer? There might be some better used models online and in stores near you but if you go this route ask if it's been wiped clean just to be safe, could be bad programs on it or something. I wish you and your aged software luck. Speaking of old computers I've got an old moniter in my house that's from the Dos era still works too, basically it's a dinosaur I don't use it for internet just playing old games. Hi all, Redexx I was wondering do you think I should take the leap of faith and buy an Xploder to see if it'll allow me to use mods on my PS3 or should I wait for your blog? Dreamgamer2790: OK people I've joined Nexusmods but it seems basically they won't help me on the grounds of what Redexx said when this topic was made so it's up to us to see this throught and try to make it happen. I did tell them Xploder was legal but again they won't assist me in figuring this out and I'm sure if I tried to get NMM/ Nexus mod manager and asked for help figuring it out I'd be denied help hopefully they won't ban me or something. So again Redexx and everyone else who posted here please funnel your knowldege and help make this happen. Sorry if triple post dang site keeps saying I'm an annon when I'm signed in. I've been gone for a while, sorry. Nexus Mods is purely a computer associated site. I cannot get my Xploder to connect, and it's quite confusing.

It's ok Redexx, anyway according to AzuraKnight on one of my other topics called I don't know what to do now guys found here http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:263745#7 he suggested that it basically IS an AR and it wouldn't allow use of mods. I hope he's wrong but if right we'll just have to keep trying I guess. I wish you luck with your troubles Redexx. Also I've asked AzuraKnight but do you think I should take the leap of faith and buy one of these Xploders to see if it can allow use of mods on Ps3? If you think I ought to wait for your blog then I will, otherwise I may go ahead and write my own about it since you're having trouble. What do you think? Ok Flamedude22 I'll think about ordering one soon. I'm hoping it'll work since as Redexx said early on he encountered 3 modders on COD world at war online apparently and one ad the Xploder so if it can use mods on an online game there maybe hope yet. Also in minor news i jst posted my first post in the Bandipedia forums and got a badge YAY! I've been a long fan of Crash, He and his friends have come a long way. Ok Redexx, well I read your review and I'm MORE than a little upset, I was hoping THIS would be the moment but alas. I suppose we'll have to keep searching for a legal way then. Or I can just jailbreak and get myself banned I suppose I would rather not though. Huh..well thanks Redexx unfortunatley you confirmed AzuraKnight I think who said that god mode and infinite money are all it does. I'm very sad. What do you suggest I do? If I must search the web everyday for a way I will, and if I must I've contemplated talking to Sony/Bethesda about a legal agreement that would allow the download of mods for a fair price, about say $5.00 or $10.00 for bigger ones that add quests or something similar. Maybe together we can make that agreement but it's a long shot and probably would be denied. Also with some searching people have said jailbreak is legal IF you don't use PSN I don't much soo. Sorry if this is double posting but hear me out. Apparently on a topic at Gamefaqs here http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615804-/61259917 Behtesda's Todd Howard said they were working with Sony/Microsoft about legal security measures to allow mods on consoles, and the biggest problem was stability, it could be a lie maybe BUT if they do send news to us about it and then don't go through MANY people round the world are going to riot I'm sure. So it maybe that their already working on something like what I said? In the mean time we can search and hope for the future because in this game plyers eyes opening the world of consoles to mods is almost certaintly to be a staple latter on. hopefully before I'm old like 50! There's no way that I know you can do without Jailbreaking, but either way it's illegal.
Jailbreaking is not illegal it's just frowned upon same thing with Apple people jailbreak ipods and iphones all the time. All jailbreaking does is it allows you to buy anything or download anything you practically want through th authorization of the company as well.
